Barely into September, but we are all jumper shopping, thinking candle light and log fires......! Fickle lot aren't we?
Anyway, high tea can take on an autumnal feel, don't you agree?
All in one mix, use a stand mixer
260 g spelt flour or use normal all purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
pinch of salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon of fresh grated ginger
up to 100 mls milk
130 g honey
1 large egg
grated zest of one orange
130 g melted butter
mixed seeds to decorate
