Keep warm and don't blow away!
At home we've just finished yet another pot of heartwarming, homemade soup! I love it! Once made, we have healthy meals in seconds! I add a small wedge of parmesan to the pot and let it melt away, top up with a little water over the two or three days that a large pot lasts, thats my secret ingredient.
I'm also switching to slow cooking and one pots, as I need to get busy doing other 'stuff' right now! I actually prefer autumn, don't you? It just feels more civilized altogether! The Teen is due home on Thursday and I just know she will either demand risotto or Keema! I'm betting on Keema, I will let you know if I'm right!
We had guests on Saturday night but he cooked for a change. Coconut prawns and sweet chilli dip, steak and triple cooked chips and to finish my GF Syrup pudding! Not sure if it was a success or not, but definitely a heavier pudding than made with wheat flour. Anyway, it's a work in progress for now. Such is life!
We drank too much and I suffered a little the next day...I mean, a lot! One of our guests couldn't eat his breakfast and looked rather green for an hour or two! Oh when will we learn? Never, is my guess!
The pup is not a people person and was terrified of the guests at first. She settled but bed time was fretful and she cried on and off all night. In the morning she did her usual party trick which was to forget who they were! Terrified and barking all over again, bless her she finds receiving visitors rather stressful. Stranger danger and all that. Poor thing.
Today, I'm having a week off and by this I mean staying off the UnFrench social media platforms as much as I can. Resetting myself and getting some WEBSITE jobs done! Yeah! Always good to tick some jobs off the list!
Have a great week, won't you?
