Can't be bothered with the full Sunday lunch rigmarole? No problem! Lets do slow cooked PULLED PORK with homemade coleslaw and pickles! Leaves one hand free for that extra glass of something!
slow cooker recipe - cup measures
6 hours low setting
2 hours med setting
5 lb shoulder of pork
2 large onions sliced
1/2 cup of ketchup or bbq sauce
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup passata
1/4 cup brown sugar or coconut sugar
2 tablespoons total of smoked and sweet paprika
1 or 2 tablespoons of French mustard
several good plugs of worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper
to make a gravy after cooking return remaining sauce to the boil and thicken or reduce.
Pull the pork apart with two forks.
1/4 white cabbage sliced thinly
1/4 red cabbage sliced thinly
2 large onions red and white sliced thinly
2 large carrots shredded
salt and lashing of pepper
1 to 2 tablespoons of lemon juice or white wine vinegar
2 cups of Hellmans mayo
